Day 37: Today I'm thankful for the little things that aren't so little: the tomato seed that grows into a lovely plant filled with scarlet orbs of flavor; the apple seed that blossoms into a mature tree offering shade and beauty and crisp, juicy fruit; the lit match that brings candles and fireplaces crackling and snapping to life; the smile that brings sunshine to a dark day; the encouraging word that gives strength and nourishment to a hurting soul; the bag of groceries left anonymously on a single mom's front step; a book shared that changes a life. All those "little" things are reminders to keep sharing those acts of kindness and works of goodness that we feel are small and insignificant - we never know just how big they really might be.
